New Mechanisms

Freedom to Design New Configurations.

New and compact Shape Memory alloy actuators enable new freedom when it comes to the design of aircraft fastening and latching mechanisms. TZ has developed two families of mechanisms — point fasteners and strip fastener families. To power these families, TZ has two configurations of actuators: linear and circular. Linear actuators are used in point and strip devices, while circular actuators are used in mechanisms that require a pin or a stud. Both actuator configurations can be engineered to fit into very low profile shapes and packaged into weather resistant devices.
